It was a good night for Legacy Boxing Andover as they chalked up two wins at an evening dinner show in East Grinstead on Friday 6th March.
First up for Legacy on the evening was 31 year-old Ricki Gayati boxing a strong physically bigger opponent in the shape of Oliver Irons of Foley ABC.
Both boxers came out looking to land the big shots and get an early win however Ricki eventually settled down and started boxing in a good rhythm.
In the third round Ricki caught his opponent with a left hook which Irons was unable to get up from, scoring the result in a KO victory for the Legacy boxer.
The second fight saw 20 year-old Legacy boxer Ron Trinder up against Crawley’s James Verbeeten.
Trinder took control of the bout from the first bell, dominating his opponent with quick combinations and was physically too much for the smaller Verbeeten, outclassing him for the majority of the fight.
The Andover boxer caught his opponent with a series of unanswered punches in the second round forcing the referee to give the Crawley boxer a standing 8 count.
Both boxers heard the final bell in which Trinder won unanimously for another good win for boxer and club.
