Following a successful debut year, the manufacturers of nutrient rich Horslyx have launched their second Ambassador Scheme. Eight talented amateur riders will represent the brand at events, competitions and online throughout 2015.
Two of the successful applicants are local Hampshire-based riders Nicki Strong and Ashley Harrison.
Charlton based Nicki Strong works in communications and when not riding or looking after her three horses, also undertakes equestrian journalism. As a Horslyx Ambassador during the scheme’s debut year in 2014, 30 year old Nicki enjoyed some great success with her ex-racehorse Blue.
As well as eventing, she also competes at showjumping and dressage, and was eager to continue the partnership. “It’s a privilege to be part of Team Horslyx for the second year running. They are great supporters, and I’m a huge fan of the products which have helped to keep the horses in great shape.”
Hook based Ashley Harrison has recently finished University, gaining a 2:1 degree in Accounting and Finance. She is currently taking a year out to work and focus on competing her two horses Zebedee IX and Riannon Star.
The 21 year old said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have been asked to join the Horslyx Ambassador team. It is a great start to the year and it means so much to have this support for 2015. I am very excited to be working alongside such a great company.”
Both event riders were selected by Horslyx based on their passion and dedication to equestrianism, together with their commitment to feeding the ‘Horslyx’ way.
The Horslyx Ambassador scheme was open to dedicated riders competing in any discipline, with seven to be chosen aged 16 or over, and one place awarded to a young talent under 16 years of age. Each Ambassador will now receive branded clothing and equestrian equipment, a supply of Horslyx to last the year and nutritional support whenever necessary.
Nick Mackley, Horslyx Sales Manager, is delighted to have Nicki and Ashley on board: “Nicki had a storming year as one of our first Ambassadors, and we couldn’t not keep her on the team this year. Ashley is a rider that we know many of our own customers will be able to relate to – she’s had some setbacks but overcome them superbly. We know that both riders will inspire Horslyx fans, and can’t wait to see what they achieve with our support this year.”
All eight Ambassadors have an exciting year ahead of them. You can follow their progress at www.horslyx.com, on Facebook, and by following Nicki and Ashley on their social media profiles.
