Celebrate Youth Writing, a new project sponsored by Test Valley Arts Foundation, is calling for submissions for a book that celebrates young writers in Andover and the Test Valley.
Anyone who is aged between 11 and 21 can enter – the aim is to encourage young writers in the local area.
The book will publish any kind of writing including blog posts, txt poems, song or rap lyrics, short stories, flash fiction stories and more. Poems and song lyrics must be 30 lines or less. Stories and articles can be up to 1500 words.
Successful entries will be published in an e-anthology and book, with some excerpts published in the Midweek newspaper.
The e-book will be launched at a special celebration evening at The Lights in June 2015.
Entry forms will be available on Test Valley Arts website. Submissions can be made from June 6th 2014 to February 28th2015.
Co-organiser Cat Randle said “I am very excited about this anthology. There are a lot of talented young writers and it gives writers a big boost to see their work in an e-book or print.”
