Hundreds of Santa Clauses came to town last Sunday (7th December) for the annual Andover Santa Fun Run.
More than 250 people signed up for the event, donned a Santa suit and set off for the mile-long route through town, starting and ending at the Andover Leisure Centre.
This included 46 people from one local judo club, many family groups – including those with children in pushchairs – and more than one family dog.

“The Santa Fun Run is one of the highlights of the Christmas calendar,” said Jess Browning from the organisers at Valley Leisure, the charitable trust that runs Andover Leisure Centre on behalf of Test Valley Borough Council.
“It was great to see so many local people taking part. We were particularly impressed by the 46 people who all came from the Scorpion Judo Club in Middle Wallop.”

“It was a magical, if somewhat slightly surreal, day. It brought a great buzz to the town,” added Jess.
Money raised from the event will be shared between 3Smiles, SSAFA and leisure centre activities.
Valley Leisure organise community events, such as the fun run, to help more people become more active and to support the local area.
