Based on a book from the wonderful imagination of Russell Hoban, Rosie’s Magic Horse will be galloping into The Lights on Saturday 19th September.
Brought vividly to life by well-loved illustrator Quentin Blake, Peaceful Lion Productions present an adaptation of Rosie’s Magic Horse, a heart-warming tale of aspiration, friendship, adventure and a little bit of mischief. With a host of catchy songs, Rosie’s Magic Horse is the perfect treat for young children aged three to eight.
Rosie is worried about her parents, who can’t afford to pay the bills. Instead of toys she keeps a collection of ice-lolly sticks that, with the power of imagination, she can turn into anything.
And so, at the stroke of midnight, magic and dreams collide and a horse named Stickerino gallops out of the box. “Where to?” he asks. “Anywhere with treasure!” she answers. And so begins an adventure like no other: ice-lolly mountains by the sea, caskets of gold, and scurvy pirates.
Rosie and the friends she makes on her adventure encourage audience members to participate in the show. Join the Shaman in a ritual dance to celebrate the wonder that is hot chocolate. And sing along with Rosie as she protects Stickerino from dangerous snakes.
Everyone is guaranteed to have a good time and leave smiling. Show starts at 11am and lasts approximately an hour. Tickets are priced from £6.50.
