Police are investigating after a man stole a gold pocket watch worth £3,500, from David Mellor Jewellers at about midday on Tuesday 1st July.
The man is described as white, aged in his mid 20s and had blond shaved hair. He was wearing a blue shirt and khaki-coloured shorts.
PC Amanda Wallis said: “Did you see this man in the area of David Mellor Jewellers? The theft happened at about 12.20pm and it’s believed the man ran off in the direction of Waterloo Court.”
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered a gold pocket watch for sale.”
