Andover will welcome yet another new pop-up shop on Saturday 16 August! The new pop-up premises is located at 7 London Street, which used to be home to Bladez Barbers.
The first business to move in to the shop will be Charlie’s, which offers a range of fabulous reconditioned furniture, clothing, handmade crafts and pretty purses and handbags.
Jane Fowler, owner of Charlie’s, said: “The pop-up shop initiative is great as it gives me the chance to try out a unit in the town centre without committing to a long-term lease.”
“We’ll be offering a range of fantastic furniture, trinkets and goodies. Whether you’re buying for yourself or for a friend or loved one, there will be lots of unique gifts to choose from. Customers will also be able to commission pieces to give their old, worn out furniture a new lease of life. I’m really looking forward to meeting new customers and trying out a new venture!”
Councillor Ian Carr, leader of Test Valley Borough Council, said: “The pop-up shop really is a fantastic opportunity for local business to test the water and find out whether opening a more permanent shop is the right move. It takes away some of the nervousness about making the move from small local business to town centre store. Whether it leads to a long-term lease or simply gives businesses exposure to a wider group of potential customers, the pop-up shop is great for both local companies and the community.”
Charlie’s will be taking over the pop-up shop for three weeks with an opportunity to extend the lease if the venture proves successful.
