A new radio show will be launching online next week, aimed at the large and diverse business community in the Test Valley. It is focused on highlighting the great businesses that are based here from the large multinationals to the smallest independents; all vital to our local economy.
The show, Test Valley Business, will be hosted by former local radio presenter Steve Randall who writes B2B content for websites, magazines and newsletters alongside his radio and audio production business.
Steve has hosted the Test Valley Business Awards for the last three years and says they were the inspiration for the new show: “It’s obvious from that event that we have such a wide range of businesses in Test Valley but all are connected by a passion for their business and a love of the area.”
Steve says the show is less about ‘news’ and more about the stories behind the businesses and there will also be a big element of sharing good business practice: “We will be featuring many guests who can give advice to other local businesses, whether it’s an accountant making sense of a new tax law or an HR specialist talking about flexible working,” Steve says.
The first episode of the show will be launched on Monday 11th August at www.testvalleybusiness.co.uk and will feature an extended interview with David Gleave, Economic Development Officer at Test Valley Borough Council, and yes, Steve does ask him about business rates!
