Sunday 15 June will see over fifty stalls set up in the High Street when the Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Market bring another packed event to the town. The event runs from 10am to 2pm.
On Father’s day why not step out and buy some mouth watering treats from the many food stalls selling local products including a wide array of meats, cheeses and produce from some of Hampshire’s finest producers. We are also welcoming the vineyards back to Andover with an array of ciders, apple juices and wines to wash it all down.
The event also boasts stalls selling a wide range of hand crafted gifts and accessories to bring that individual touch to the home or garden.
There will be something on offer for the gardener, the gourmet, the craft enthusiast or just those who are looking for something a little bit different.
All of this will be set against the back drop of music in the Time Ring from New Antonians Swing Band who will be playing between 10.30 and 12.30.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Ian Carr, said: “The Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Markets were introduced by the Council to bring new life to the town on Sundays. The market stretches from the top to the bottom of the High Street with over fifty stalls creating a lively atmosphere and most importantly a great opportunity to buy local produce and crafts.”
“The Andover Summit set about finding ways to continue to encourage people to shop in Andover and for businesses to flourish. The markets are proving a great success keeping our High Street busy and attracting more people to the town. Initiatives range from a programme of markets to special annual events, from small business grants to pop-up shop opportunities. All these activities are contributing to ensure we retain a vibrant town.”
