Each year, Lloyds Banking Group colleagues have the opportunity to get out and about in the local community helping charities and community Groups through a scheme called ‘Day to Make a Difference’. It forms part of the Group’s Helping Britain Prosper plan to help households, businesses and communities to thrive.
The Day to Make a Difference volunteering programme was launched in 2010 to enable all Lloyds Banking Group colleagues to spend at least one day a year, during work time, volunteering in our communities.
So far the group has volunteered for groups including The Enham Trust, Trussell Trust, Naomi House and TARCA (The Anton River Conservation Association). The aim is to get even more people involved in local communities with an aim to get one million colleagues volunteering by 2015.
A volunteering website has been created as part of this scheme, in which local groups can register as a beneficiary. Anyone interested in registering their charity or community group can do so by visiting:
