Andover’s European and British Biathle Champion Natalie Thomas is looking to retain her title this year plus take on the World Age group Sprint Triathlon and Aquathlon Championships.
Natalie came 10th in the World Age Group Sprint Triathlon and 6th in the Aquathlon last year and this year is aiming to race the World Age Group Olympic distance which will be in Edmonton.
To help her finance this she has signed up with a crowdsourcing site called Talent Backers.
“This is an expensive occupation so I have managed to get a profile on a new scheme called Talent Backers. They help support people with talent by creating a profile and spreading the word” said Natalie.
“My goal is to raise £3,000 to help towards kit, race entries, travel, accommodation and memberships. The yearly cost of this is a lot higher but I have gone for what I hope is a reachable target” she added.
“I only have until the end of the month to reach my £3,000 target so would be really grateful if people could help by either backing me and / or passing the message on to spread the word out further.”
Natalie explained that there are some nice little personalised rewards for donations so you also get something in return for helping out – www.talentbacker.com/talents/view/natalie-thomas
To keep up with Natalie she also has a blog with information on how her sport is going: http://natttri.wordpress.com
