Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – the trust that runs Andover hospital – have issued a press release to reassure patients and families about the recent cases of blood infection in babies.
The trust state that it “has not received supplies of this product from ITH Pharma limited – the supplier involved.”

You may have heard in the news about the cases of blood infection in babies following possible contamination of Parenteral Nutrition (intravenous feeds or TPN). We would like to reassure our patients and families that Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has not received supplies of this product from ITH Pharma limited – the supplier involved – so there is no risk from this product to babies given TPN within our Neonatal units.
