The GBBO became the GKBO as Andover Carnival Royalty attended a Kids baking party at The Travelling Cupcake recently.
Along with some friends (and Mums and Dads), they all had a fun time making scones and learning the art of baking. Under Holly’s careful supervision, the group mixed, kneaded and rolled before baking – then eating!
“Absolutely great” said Tia
“Really good fun” said Tilly
“The best part was getting messy” said Corey
“It was really good fun” said Cole
“Awesome” said Carson
“It was good” said Kyle
“It taught me how to make scones” said Tilly’s Mum
“Kept the kids quiet and entertained” said Tia’s Dad
The parties are a new initiative setup by owner Bev Botha and retail consultant Mark O’Dolan.
“It’s good to show children how things are made and give them a sense of achievement” said Bev. “We use ingredients like local free range eggs so they can see exactly what goes into what they are eating.”
Parties can be arranged for up to 16 children and an age range of 3 to 13 years with the activity aimed at the ages attending – cake or brownie baking for the older children with cupcake decorating for the younger ones.
The cost is £175 for 10 children which includes the activity, a birthday cake and afternoon tea however Travelling Cupcake are running an offer of £125 until 15th November.
