With thoughts starting to turn to Christmas why not pop down to the Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Market taking place in the High Street from 10am – 2pm on Sunday, 15 November.
Stock up on festive food for the freezer from Devese Farm, Greenfield Pork and Hampshire Game, as well as Selsey Willow Seafoods and the Unusual Pork Pie Company. Purchase some seasonal cheer from Betteridge’s Brewery and Boxing Day treats from Loosehanger Cheeses and the New Forest Smokery; all complemented by chutneys and pickles and other goodies from Patterson’s Pantry, Oaktrack Smallholdings and Mrs Mitchell’s Kitchen.
There will be lots of gift ideas and present buying opportunities with crafts, artisan candles in vintage china and glass holders from Lilian Jones and bunting and handmade decorations from Brinny & Co. There will also be children’s toys and books, handbags and scarves, jewellery and lots of lovely chocolate from the Chocolate Ladies.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Ian Carr, said: “With too many traders to be able to name them all, a visit to the Andover Farmers’ and Crafts market is highly recommended. I would encourage everyone to shop local and support the wonderful food and drink producers and skilled artisans that we have in local area.”
The market will be set against the backdrop of music in the Time Ring from Sing for Fun and John Springett.
There will be one more Farmers’ and Crafts Market for 2015, held on Sunday, 20 December. The market will then return in March 2016.
