Andover High Street will resound this year with a packed programme of speciality markets, and each special event has reserved space for two designated charity pitches.
Test Valley Borough Council are calling on the charities of Andover and surrounding areas to get in touch to take advantage of these free stalls.
There will be a special market event happening every month of 2014, beginning on 16th March, with the very first Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Market, and followed by the Small Business Fair on 28th March.
The first two free charity pitches of the year at the March Andover Farmers’ and Crafts market are already booked, with Andover Parkinson’s Support Group and Dogs for the Disabled sharing the High Street with over 30 other stalls selling a wide range of local produce and arts and crafts. The next opportunity to take advantage of the free pitches follows on 28 March at the Small Business Fair, and there are a dozen more opportunities throughout the year.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Ian Carr said: “The programme of events delivered for Andover High Street in 2013 was a great success and was developed as part of the outcomes of the Andover summit. This year see us build on this success with the regular new Council sponsored Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Markets, Small Business Fairs and Vintage Markets.”
“Each of these events presents an opportunity for local charities to showcase their important work to a wide audience at no cost. I would urge any local charity to get in touch and take advantage of this opportunity.”
