Andover Jelly is now into its second year and is expanding with 2 dates per month that freelancers, home workers and business people can attend.
Running your own business, working from home or being a freelancer can be a lonely business at times so a Jelly can be a good place to sit and work with other people in a similar position giving you the chance to network as well.
A Jelly is like hot desking in the corporate world – you arrive (once you’ve booked a place) and use what desks are available. You do need to book as the number is limited to 12 per event.
The Andover Jelly has a range of skills attend in the past including copyrighters, bloggers, web designers, graphic designers, writers, IT specialists, photographers etc. There are a core of regulars that attend as well as irregulars attending as and when they can.
A spokesperson for Andover Jelly said: “The times are from 9.00am till 4.00pm and you don’t have to stay the full day. There is a cafe at The Lights for food and drink plus both the Boardroom and Conference Room have power and wi-fi available – just bring yourself and your laptop.”
“It’s a good way to get some work done and meet other freelancers. Whilst it’s not a networking event, there have been some skill swaps between people.”

- Monday 13th January (Boardroom)
- Wednesday 29th January (Conference Room)
