The Environment Agency have issued a flood alert update for villages North West of Andover at 11.06m on Wednesday 12th March.
Information for the alert is as follows:
Groundwater Flooding in Surrounding Villages of Andover
Communities at risk of groundwater flooding surrounding Andover, including Appleshaw, Hatherden, Penton Mewsey, Redenham, Weyhill Bottom, Kimtpon, Amport and Monxton.
Groundwater levels around Andover rose a little last week but are now starting to stabilise.
The weather forecast this week is for dry conditions and levels should start to fall as a result. More unsettled weather is forecast next week although rainfall totals are not expected to be large in the South.
Problems associated with high groundwater levels will persist for many weeks.
