The Environment Agency have issued an update to earlier flood alerts for villages in the Bourne Valley area at 4.15pm on Wednesday 5th March.
Communities at risk of groundwater flooding in Vernham Deane, Upton and the Bourne Valley in North Hampshire including Hurstbourne Tarrant and St Mary Bourne.
Groundwater levels in the Bourne Valley remain high but have now stabilised. The weather forecast this week is for dry conditions and levels will remain fairly stable as a result.
A Flood Warning remains in force for Bourne Rivulet as the groundwater maintains a high river flow. The river is currently stable and water levels should begin to slowly decrease over the next few days.
Problems associated with high groundwater levels will persist for many weeks.
