It’s almost time to hop on your skateboards and grab your bikes as the new urban sports facility at Smannell Road in Andover is just a few weeks away from completion!
Specialist developers, Maverick, have been busy crafting the new skate park over the past few months. It is anticipated that the new facility will be up and running at the end of October, with the official opening in November.
Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Ian Carr, said: “It has been my ambition to deliver a new concrete skate park for Andover for some time. It’s fantastic to see the facility taking shape and I’m really looking forward to the opening later this year.
“We are keen to encourage our communities to reach their full potential and promoting sport is absolutely key to that. Whether it’s football, tennis or skateboarding, it’s great for people to keep fit and active.”
