Test Valley Borough Council has secured a new agreement with Costa which will see the popular coffee brand open at the Andover bus station café on Friday, 29 January.
The new outlet will complete the revamp of the town’s bus station, which has included two additional bus parking bays, a Stagecoach customer enquiries office, electronic passenger information systems and a new indoor waiting area. The project has also created office space for Shopmobility and Test Valley Community Services.
Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Iris Andersen, will open the new Costa at 9.30am on Friday morning and invite its first customers in to enjoy refreshments and hot drinks.
Economic Portfolio Holder, Councillor Peter Giddings, said: “We are really pleased that Costa will be opening at the Andover bus station café and that people will have the opportunity to purchase hot and cold drinks and snacks while they are waiting for their bus or passing through the area. It is great that the café will be in use again and I am sure that the public will enjoy seeing this popular and dynamic brand running the café.”
Matthew Case, Regional Development Manager for the new store said: “We’re pleased to announce our new Andover store opening bringing more choice, investment and eight to ten new jobs to the local area. As with all of our new store openings, we’re looking forward to playing our part in the community, getting involved with local events and initiatives, providing a new meeting place for local groups and helping with local charity work and fundraising where we can.”
