A planning application to turn Chantry House in the Chantry Centre from offices to apartments has been submitted to Test Valley Borough Council by Friends Life Limited.
The building – stretching over 5 floors – had previously been used for offices but has been empty for some time now.
The proposal is to have 4 x 2-bed and 3 x 1-bed apartments on each floor over the 5 floors with the 2-beds having both a bathroom and en-suite.
Access would be via a “secure pedestrian access gate” from West Street together with access from the Chantry Centre.
Anyone wishing to find out more or make a representation is advised to do so before 2nd October. The planning reference number is 14/02104/PDJN.
