Andover Neighbourhood Plan received a boost to its funding earlier this month (February) when three of the Andover wards contributed a total of £1,150.
Whilst councillors from three of the wards decided to support the plan, councillors from Millway and Winton decided against it.
The three wards contributing were:
- Alamein – £300
- Harroway – £425
- St Mary’s – £425
The money is planned to go towards a display board that will enable the team to take the plan around the town to various meetings and exhibitions.
The Andover Neighbourhood Plan is intended to give the community more of a say in the development of the local area (within certain limits and parameters).
The plan will be used to decide the future of the places where you live and work, giving opportunities to:
- choose where you want new homes, shops and offices to be built;
- have your say on what new buildings should look like;
- grant planning permission for the new buildings you want to see go ahead;
