The Andover Business Expo – planned for 8th May and organised this year by Memo Events – has been cancelled due to poor feedback and attendance intentions apparently due to the previous year’s event.
In a statement on the website they said “We did not want to continue with the show at the risk of not being able to deliver a show to the same standards as our previous events, with a high quality and number of exhibitors and visitors“.
They also apologised for having to cancel the event and that there was “no immediate intentions of rescheduling for the future“.
The full statement from the website can also be seen on the Andover Business Expo website here:
Unfortunately we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the forthcoming expo in Andover on 8 May, with no immediate intentions of rescheduling for the future.
We have been informed over the last couple of weeks that unfortunately the previous organisers of this event had provided such bad customer service, and ultimately delivered a poor event, which has had the result of Andover businesses not wishing to book or visit the event this year, following their previous bad experiences.
As a local event, having the local business community on board is vital to the show’s success. Despite having a number of businesses interested in exhibiting (our own previous exhibitors), we did not want to continue with the show at the risk of not being able to deliver a show to the same standards as our previous events, with a high quality and number of exhibitors and visitors.
We apologises for the inconvenience of having to cancel this event.
