Work on the Andover Bus Station continues with completion still planned for mid-June 2014, just a month away.
This is the May 2014 update from Test Valley Borough Council.
Update from TVBC
Work on the bus station has made good progress, despite the heavy rain during April. The site has its own power supply now, following the works by SSE over the last few weeks.
The new bus station and offices of Stagecoach and TVCS have light which really develops the extent of the internal space, changing it from former multi-storey car park to bespoke accommodation.
The carpentry works to the café are being undertaken, the flooring is laid and wall coverings fitted.
The main office area has had the second mechanical and electrical fix and painting and decorating is underway.
The oak cladding has been installed to the bus station waiting area and the terrazzo flooring laid. The new concourse roof is almost completed, the two shaped end panels are about to be installed.
The bus apron works have commenced, and it is possible to see the shape of this when walking past the site. The kerbing and safety bollards are visible. Concreting and paving of the bus apron will commence during the month.
Works to the highway have begun, affecting very few bus services over the bank holiday weekend.
Finally, works will be started towards the end of the month on making good the Waitrose elevation.

Completion of the works are still planned for mid-June, with an official opening in July 2014.
