Statement from Pam Mutton
My division does take in part of Andover . But Andover North is larger with 13, 211 in 2009 naturally this has grown with Augusta Park and new Picket Twenty Development .
Therefore I can only answer most of your questions in this way
I have been a Cllr since 1995 when I was elected to Test Valley Borough Council . I have been Mayor as well . I joined the County Council in 2009 gaining the Andover North Seat .
I am at this moment Vice Chairman of the County Council which is the equivalent of being Deputy Mayor Of Hampshire only fifth woman in the history of the County Council to hold that position, An ordinary working mother so it is a great honour for someone who used to work for TSB
The division is split as I have the villages of Hatherden , Wildhern and Tangley, Vernham Dean , Hurstbourne Tarrant , Enham Alamein and Smannell .

As I am the sitting Cllr I would continue doing what I have done for the first four years as I have been on Children’s service Adults Services Chairman of SACRE which is the Standing and Advisory Council for Religious education on the Fostering panel and Health Scrutiny as well as the chairman of the Visually Impaired a local Andover Group, Committee member of NeigbourCare and CAB .
As for my local residents I have been always available to help and Advise
I attend Cllrs surgery on Saturday morning and see many residents who need assistance with advice and help this could range from Education appeals to Road works etc very mixed bunch difficult to summarise
As I have One Town Council and five parish councils who I work with My Parish Councils meet in the evenings and frequently every month
So what have I done? I am Governor at St John The Baptist School and recently the Norman Gate School Trustee of John Hanson School ,on Andover Museum Committee With executive head , parents and teachers of East Street school which is one of the schools in my division who I have responsibility for when they needed support .
I Supported the select committee being local representative when there was the threat to the Andover Birth Centre which is now a success story Cllr West appointed me to represents the Health HOSC committee . Andover Birth Centre is now the Hampshire Birth centre and a great success
Using my Cllrs devolved budget I have worked with and helped the Andover Sports Club, Andover Hockey club, The Andover Archery supported local school with books and equipment , NeigbourCare , Silver surfers part of NeigbourCare . In one of the parishes Deliberator
Environmental things such wild meadow planting, improved walkways . The Jubilees wood given the Transitional Andover, Fencing In Little London Benches , Notice Boards for parishes Arranged salt/grit bins on Enham Trust land out of my devolved budget.
the Older Peoples forum which I attended . Kissing gates in the villages, for the town and Parishes plus refills for grit bins Got the gritting routes improved and much more I got trees cut down in Admirals way as residents were unhappy
My attendance at meetings you can a check on line is 100%
Used my grant with Cllr West to send a group of children from Roman Way school to HCC centre in Wales for team building so children can experience the chance of caving and rock climbing and team Building , something that might not have had the chance to experience the feed back was brilliant
Supported school fêtes, open days, given to raffles for fund raising, done assemblies etc
Cooked Sunday Lunch at the residential new Home Lion Court to get the new residents to come together working with Social services and Pam Dederfield of NeigbourCare and Cllr Pat West we provided three course meal free of charge to the new residents to break the ice for many of the them and encourage the community spirit
I support the Countess of Brecknock Hospice and League of Friends
I would not presume to say but the public are able to judge me on my past performance and most people know I’m hard working dedicated and always here to help where I can so the public must make their own judgment I am a strong person and always put my constituents first often bucking the party line
I was a part of the original London Overspill with strong family support I do the best for the people who trust me with their Vote
I can only do my best if I have the privilege of being elected on May 2nd 2013
I intend to fight for part of the £60 million that has been allocated for improved Road transport infrastructures and road maintenance.
Working to keep the High quality services for the elderly and our children. We have one new school Endeavour in Andover North division. Pilgrims Cross on Picket Twenty still being built.
HCC Apprenticeship scheme is gaining momentum for our young people working with providers of service to the County Council.
Broad band to rural areas as many businesses are suffering and this impacts on the local economy.
Maintain the High Education standards and children’s Centres
Improving the health service locally.
THE COUNTY COUNCIL HAS NOT PUT UP THE COUNCIL TAX FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS.
